Your Role

The Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining, improving, and ensuring compliance of the site's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001, BRCGS, customer requirements, and corporate quality standards.  

Your Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS): Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, BRCGS, customer, and company requirements. Keep quality procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and controlled documents up to date in the Mango system. 

Audit & Compliance: Maintain audit readiness and manage the Internal Audit Program, including ISO 9001, BRCGS, process, product, and Quality Control Plan audits. Support customer, certification, and regulatory audits and follow up on corrective actions. 

Nonconformance & Corrective Actions: Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Monitor quality trends and recommend improvements. 

Training: Provide employee orientation, quality training, point lessons, and quality awareness activities. 

Continuous Improvement: Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for quality and process improvement and share best practices across the organization.

Your profile

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Quality, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.  Work experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Recent college graduates looking for a career in Quality will be considered as well.

Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in Quality Engineering or a related quality function are preferred; however, recent graduates with a strong interest in building a career in Quality will also be considered. 

Previous experience and knowledge with ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems. 

BRCGS knowledge is a plus and preferred 

Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams 

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities 

An analytical and quantitative approach to problem-solving 

Strong English communication skills are required. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred and will be considered an advantage. 

Knowledge of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, Control Plan, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis will be considered an advantage.
